Brooklyn Borough President Tours Eastern Parkway Farm

BROOKLYN – Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams recently visited The Campaign Against Hunger’s Eastern Parkway Urban Farm to learn more about our efforts to expand urban farming and provide fresh produce for our neighbors in Brownsville and beyond. Brownsville and surrounding zip codes have struggled disproportionately from diet-related diseases like diabetes and hypertension. Educating our community on methods to grow their own food and prepare healthy meals is one of the many ways we address the disparities and combat diet-related diseases.
