MLK Weekend of Service

MLK Weekend of Service

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. revolutionized what it means to be of service to our neighbors. Through kindness, compassion, and acts of goodwill, we can carry on his legacy.

To honor the legacy of Dr. King, TCAH is recruiting volunteers to pack grocery bags for our community partners on January 15th and 17th (MLK Day) at our Brooklyn warehouse, which is located at 744 Berriman Street in East New York.  On both days, groups of volunteers will serve in two shifts: 9:00 a.m. to noon and 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.  Please contact Michael Schaefer, our Volunteer Resource Manager for more information.  He can be reached at 718-773-3551, ext. 115 or mschaefer@tcahnyc.org.

This will be an in-person event, and we recognize the hesitation around gathering in public spaces. Your safety is our priority, and we will conduct temperature checks upon arrival and enforce proper mask-wearing, hand-washing, and social distancing throughout all shifts.
