The Campaign Against Hunger, HelloFresh, and No Kid Hungry are working together to close the summer hunger gap for kids in Brooklyn. The three organizations distributed 4,000 HelloFresh meals with wholesome, easy-to-follow recipes designed especially for families and kids in mind. This community event was part of a new 13 for 13 Million campaign, a joint initiative from HelloFresh and No Kid Hungry that aims to raise awareness of the issue of childhood food insecurity and its effect on 13 million kids nationwide.

The Campaign Against Hunger (TCAH) is expanding its vehicle fleet in Brooklyn and Queens, supported by leaders like Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and Councilwoman Selvena Brooks-Powers. With four Ford Sprinter Cargo Vans and a forthcoming refrigerated truck, TCAH aims to improve food delivery to underserved communities in Brooklyn and Southeastern Queens, known as food and transportation deserts.
Dr. Melony Samuels has been at the helm of the Campaign Against Hunger for 26 years, tackling food insecurity and promoting community health in Brooklyn and beyond.
