HUNGER ACTION MONTH
Join Us in Fighting Hunger
September is Hunger Action Month — Every act of kindness helps a New Yorker put food on the table.
More than 1.4 million New Yorkers, including 470,000 children, don’t know where their next meal is coming from. This September, we unite to fight hunger across New York City. You can make a difference today by:
Donating to support emergency food programs and ensure families don’t have to choose between meals and other basic needs.
- Shopping Local at our urban farms and farmers’ markets, where every purchase helps sustain community-driven food access.
- Volunteering at our community food distribution centers, urban farms, farmers’ markets, or client-choice pantry in BedStuy, Brooklyn.
- Speaking Out for stronger food policies that address the root causes of hunger in New York City.
Together, we can turn compassion into action and make sure no New Yorker goes hungry.

ADVOCATE FOR EMERGENCY FOOD
As food insecurity surges and federal support dwindles, too many New Yorkers are being forced to make impossible choices between meals, rent, and other basic needs. Now more than ever, your voice and action are needed to ensure that every neighbor has access to the food they deserve.Â
