Project Turkey
Being unable to afford a turkey for one's family on Thanksgiving is a painful experience, and an all-too-common reality for America's hungry, 50% of whom are children. Project Turkey aims to rectify this situation. By choosing one of New York City's largest food pantries serving some of NYC's hardest-hit neighborhoods (BedStuy/Brownsville/East New York), we strive to provide enough turkeys this Thanksgiving so that no one is turned away hungry from The Campaign Against Hunger, a 501-c-3 that feeds hundreds of families each day. To accomplish this, we aim to purchase at least 650 turkeys. We need to raise at least $10,000 by November to buy 650 turkeys (at a cost of roughly $15 each).
As always, 100% of money received by the Campaign will be used for turkeys, and 0% will be used for overhead.
Best wishes,
Noah
