Here at TCAH, we believe it is critical to expose young children to a diverse diet, including a wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, at an early age in order to lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits. Our Healthy Bloomers summer program for children ages 4-11 years aims to do just that.
The Healthy Bloomer curriculum uses art, music and cooking lessons to help kids understand the ecosystem, practice healthful eating, and learn about how food travels from the farm to table. Lessons are designed to reinforce science, math, reading and analytical skills, as well as incorporate dynamic, hands-on learning through educational games and field trips to our own Urban Agro-Ecological Centers.
